One Day At Disney: Walt Disney World For The First Timer Who Has Been To Disneyland

Okay, so here is one very important question: what would you do if you only had one day to spend at Walt Disney World?! There's one caveat I should mention: you have been to Disneyland before. For many of us, we'd begin by making a list of our favorite classics like The Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, and Big Thunder Railroad, but if you've done these rides before and it's your first time to WDW (Walt Disney World), as awesome as they are, and you've only got ONE day at Walt Disney World, let's mix it up a bit. This happened when my uncle went to Disney World for the first time (note: he had been to Disneyland before. This one's for you Uncle Bob!). If he had asked me before going, this is what I would have told him...
Buy a park hopper, go to Animal Kingdom in the morning, then EPCOT in the evening. Dare I say that I would actually advise he skip Magic Kingdom (you know, the park with the castle)??! Yes. That's what I would have told him to do. As much as I LOVE Magic Kingdom, you've done the classic attractions already! Though I'd be first in line to argue with anyone who tried to say Disneyland Theme Park and Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World are the same -- please don't start that conversation -- what I will concede is that they have many of the same attractions and lands. Sure Magic Kingdom may have the Country Bears Jamboree (retired from Disneyland), the People Mover (closed at Disneyland), and AWESOME Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, but if you want a truly unique Disney Parks experience, skip Magic Kingdom this time and make time for it when you have an extra day to spend.
